Ear Care Guidance Document
In order to help reduce litigation in ear syringing and provide the patient with effective and safer ear care a consensus document titled 'guidance in ear care' has been produced by the Action On ENT Steering Board
This document provides the practitioner guidance in otoscopy, ear irrigation, aural toilet, manual wax removal and microsuction and has been endorsed by the Royal College of General Practitioners, Royal College of Nursing, Primary Ear Care Centre and the Medical Devices Agency.
